"Does a cow have horns?"
About the anecdote when Krsto and Branko, two great artists, met.
Branka Frangeš Hegedušić told Dragutin Feletar an anecdote about the moment she met the great Krsta Hegedušić.
»Well, his correspondence! He always wrote and asked about Hlebine. He wrote about Hlebina from Paris! About the colors of Hlebin, about the plains, the Drava expanses. With these freedoms and Pannonian plains, elegiac freedoms, he seduced me while still studying. We were colleagues at the art academy. I'm in my first year, he's in my last year. A piston with a big head! And I'm Frangeš's daughter. A city fritter, very nice, from the house of a great sculptor! Once he sat next to me and I said that if such a great draftsman is being made, he should draw something for me live, like that from memory. What father?! he said. Draw me a cow! He is from the draft. Virtuoso. My comment was short: What kind of cow has horns?! "The town brat thought that only an ox had horns. He didn't want to talk to me for two weeks."
